A NEW SPACE!
Recovering From Helene
We are now six months out from the flooding that devastated the River Arts District. As we figured out how to move on, and come back better than ever, our printmaking gallery and studio have been reimagined! Located in downtown Asheville, on Carolina Lane, are two floors of absolutely beautiful space that we took possession of in early February. This new space will house a gallery, a studio and a dedicated classroom. In keeping with such big changes, we have also changed our name. We are now PRINT HOUSE COLLECTIVE.
It will be a while until our new space is open to the public. Our projected opening is in mid to late May 2025, and we are planning a big celebration! In the meantime, we need to settle in and make lots of art after a more than 120 day hiatus, and a total loss of our previous bodies of work. We are planning for Classes, Workshops and other Special Events to resume in the summer.
We can’t wait to welcome you to PRINT HOUSE COLLECTIVE!

ANNA BRYANT
Printmaker, Illustrator + Muralist
“I use the symbolic beauty and movement of the human form as a recurring motif to explore connection, resilience, and the interwoven nature of individual and collective experiences. My reductive techniques strip each piece down to its most essential elements, highlighting the expressive power of the human form and inviting viewers to engage intuitively. I have the urge to remain analog in this increasingly digital world by embracing the inherent tactile nature of print. There's a nostalgic allure and visceral connection in the process - both for the artist and viewer - that embodies a rare sense of permanence.”

DENISE MARKBREIT
Printmaker + Mixed Media Artist
“When a viewer makes a personal connection to and finds meaning in my artwork I am thrilled. I respond to the world through drawing, painting and mixed media collage, but primarily I identify as a printmaker. My inspiration is drawn from a wide range of subjects including the human figure and landscape. I delight in details that often go unnoticed by the casual observer. My drawings are the beginnings of prints and the emotional energy that is gathered in them infuses my finished creations. I hope this is what viewers connect with and respond to.”
